Bolt Threads is a materials solutions company that uses nature as its inspiration to invent cutting-edge materials for the fashion and beauty industries. I joined the team as a freelance social media strategist, developing science and innovation-focused stories for their company social profiles and eventually launching @mylo_unleather, a channel dedicated to their mycelium-based leather alternative. After growing the channel from 5k to >20k followers in a year, I joined the team full-time as their editorial manager to oversee the company’s blog, web content, product copywriting and partner launch communications with fashion brands such as adidas, lululemon and Stella McCartney. After a brief hiatus, I returned as a freelance brand writer to evolve brand positioning and continue assisting with product launch moments.
